Dina Lohan spoke exclusively to "The Today Show"'s Matt Laueron Friday morning about how Lindsay Lohan is coping with rehab and what her plans are once she is released.

The somber mom was clearly upset with the sentence placed upon her daughter for allegedly disobeying her probation requirements from a 2007 DUI case. Dina expressed the prospect of justice being reached since Judge Marsha Revel took herself off the case earlier this week. She said Lindsay was "hardballed" and the sentence of 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab was "overboard."

Sources at the Lynwood Correctional Facility explain the problem to TMZ this way ... inmates can order and drinks from the commissary on Mondays, and pick it up on Tuesdays. Lindsay didn't check in until Tuesday, and the jailers are making her wait until next Monday before she can order anything.

The girl wants a drink of water, but the only thing that's available -- as one source puts it -- is "water from that nasty sink in her cell." Lindsay just can't stomach it.

So on Thursday, Lindsay asked jailers several times for water, but they wouldn't budge. One jailer told her, "Just drink the milk from the day before."

LOS ANGELES -- Lindsay Lohan's jailhouse experience might not be as bad as you'd think. Some may say she's already getting preferential treatment.

Lohan's mother Dina and sister Ali visited her at the Lynwood jail Wednesday, despite the fact that other inmates have to wait until the weekend for visitors.

Law enforcement officials responded by saying, "Lindsay might get visitors after the official visiting hours are over for the other inmates for security reasons. It's for the safety of everyone."

"Rehab" singer Amy Winehouse broke down in tears as she watched troubled actress Lindsay Lohan carted off to jail earlier this week, OK! Magazinereported Thursday.

"That could have been me!," Winehouse reportedly told her friends as the "Mean Girl" actress checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. on Tuesday to begin serving her sentence for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case in 2007.

The British singer has battled with substance abuse that has included multiple arrests for drug possession and assault.

Full Frontal … Violent Nudity

When she's out of jail...

In six months, when actress Lindsay Lohan has completed her 90-day jail and 90-day rehab sentence, she will prepare to do full frontal nudity for her role as porn star Linda Lovelace in the biopic “Inferno.”

And according to a report fromRadarOnline.com, the nudity will not be done in an artistic, cinematic manner, but instead will be more “violent.”

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- The handcuffs are on Lindsay Lohan as she begins her jail sentence for a probation violation.

The actress surrendered at a Beverly Hills courthouse Tuesday morning.

A judge determined two weeks ago that the "Mean Girls" star violated her probation by missing seven alcohol education classes since December.

She has been sentenced to 90 days in jail and three months in rehab. Lohan is likely to serve far less time due to jail overcrowding.

Looks like Lindsay has some OJ power in her corner:

TMZ has learned famed lawyer Robert Shapiro will represent Lindsay Lohan in her jail saga, but we're told Shapiro's plan is not to appeal Lindsay's 90-day jail sentence.

Sources say Shapiro, who was part of the team that successfully repped O.J. Simpson, will try to convince Judge Marsha Revel to put Lindsay in a rehab facility and either eliminate or minimize jail.

Sources connected with Lindsay tell TMZ LiLo and mama Dina have been interviewing potential lawyers like crazy but, we're told, "They are suspicious of their (the lawyers') motives."

We've learned Lindsay is now talking to former O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Shapiro, but she has not hired him.

Lindsay has a new lawyer

We're told Lindsay will hire Stuart V. Goldberg, a criminal defense attorney from the Windy City. Goldberg met with Lindsay -- along with her sister and Ali and mother Dina -- for about six hours yesterday.

Lindsay, we're told, called Stuart herself and asked him to fly out to Los Angeles.

Lindsay DOESN'T have a new lawyer?

So she may go after OJ's Snake Charmer instead?

Stuart V. Goldberg met with Lindsay, Dina and Ali on Friday night and it was a done deal, until he got a call over the weekend from Lindsay's business manager, Lou Taylor, who said they just couldn't afford him ... this is all according to Goldberg's camp.

But on the Lindsay side, it's a whole other story.   Let's just say that even Dina and Lindsay decided Goldberg was ... how do we say nicely ... a little eccentric.   How 'bout a license plate with letters that reveal the word, "Snake Charmer"

As TMZ previously reported, the jail where Lindsay is extremely likely to do time is the same all-female facility where Paris got locked up in 2007 -- the same place with a serious zero tolerance no-smoking policy.

Bad news for Lindsay -- because according to one of her close friends, the jail-bound actress is a "serious chain-smoker" who blows through at least two packs a day. We're told, "The first thing she does when she wakes up is light a cigarette."

The source adds, "I'm honestly scared for [Lindsay] ... I don't think she's gone a day without smoking in years. This isn't something she can stop overnight. It's a serious condition

Lindsay is allowed to take Zoloft (antidepressant), Trazodone (antidepressant), Adderall (stimulant to control ADHD), Nexium (acid reflux) and the extremely powerful painkiller Dilaudid.

But Lohan – who was reportedly expected to celebrate her belated birthday Wednesday night at her favorite Hollywood hotspot, Las Palmas – never surfaced.
A source tells PEOPLE the troubled actress, 24, confirmed she would still have her party only hours before mysteriously not appearing. "Lindsay was planning to celebrate her birthday with the owners of Las Palmas, who are like family to her, and her friend Ferras, who was also celebrating his birthday that night."

Headed to jail on July 20, Lindsay Lohan resurfaced -- on Twitter -- to defend the expletive scrawled on her fingernail and rail against "torture" in U.S. courts.

Of her eye-raising "F*** you" manicure, the 24-year-oldexplained to a friend: "Didn't we do our nails as a joke...? it had nothing to do w/court. It's an airbrush design from a stencil."

A little while later, the actress, who was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab for a parole violation, wrote a diatribe against a "constitutionally perverted" judicial process.
